Day 2: Johannesburg
Johannesburg – Nelson Mandela Sites in Soweto.
November 4 / Today you will enjoy a city tour of Johannesburg and start in Soweto where you will visit Mandela House. The Nelson Mandela National Museum, or commonly referred to as Mandela House, is the house on Vilakazi Street in Soweto where Nelson Mandela lived from 1946 to 1962. The house is a single-story red-brick matchbox built in 1945. It has bullet holes in the walls and the facade has scorch marks from attacks with Molotov cocktails (petrol bomb). The inside hosts some original furnishings and memorabilia including photographs, citations given to Nelson Mandela, and the world championship belt given to Mandela by Sugar Ray Leonard. Mandela came back to the house after his release from prison in 1990, despite suggestions from government officials that he find a safer home. However, after 11 days back at the house he moved out again. You can enjoy lunch at a restaurant in the famous Vilakazi Street. Probably the most famous street in the township of Soweto in Johannesburg. It's named after Dr BW Vilakazi who was a poet, novelist and intellectual. He was the first black man to teach at the University of Witwatersrand and helped to write the isiZulu dictionary. Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu lived in this street and Nelson Mandela’s house is still there today, now a museum. A street full of real history and has a wonderful cultural vibe. (B)

Day 3: Johannesburg - Cape Town.
Welcome to Cape Town, the Mother City of South Africa!
November 5 / Cape Town. This morning after breakfast you will be transferred to the airport for your flight (not included) to Cape Town. On arrival in Cape Town you will be greeted by your local tour guide who will take you to enjoy one of the biggest cities of Africa. During a Day tour of Cape Town, you will get to know all the interesting facts and experience the whole variety of diversity the city has to offer. After that, ascend the Table Mountain via aerial cableway in the late afternoon to watch the stunning view as the sun sinks into the western horizon and the city lights start to sparkle. Table Mountain is South Africa’s most photographed attraction. There is an optional walk around the top of the mountain that will take about an hour. In the evening you will have a dinner in the famous Gold restaurant in Cape Town. (B,D)

Day 4: Cape Town - Boulders Beach & Cape Point Nature Reserve.
Today you will take a Tour of the Cape Peninsula.
November 6 / Discover the coast’s miles and miles of white sandy beaches, past the fishing village of Hout Bay on Boulders Beach. A special attraction is the penguin colony living on the beach as Boulders Beach is home to a breeding colony of over 2000 endangered African Penguins. From there continue towards the nature reserve. Discover many animals, including antelopes, ostriches and baboons. Off the coast, you can see whales, dolphins and seals. Highlight of the day is the Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point, where you have a stunning view of the National Park. (B)
5
Day 5: Cape Winelands.
Today you drive along the stunning Garden Route and make your way to Stellenbosch the second oldest town in South Africa.
November 7 / You will pass through the magnificent and vast vineyard landscapes of the famous winelands. Due to the approximately 300 sunny days in the Cape Town region over 200 years ago, the Huguenots started the progress of wine making. Today wine estates in Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl are world-famous and their wines highly awarded. The visit of a wine farm including wine tasting is a must and a feast for the senses! Your guide will be able to give you more details on the various wine farms, which can be visited. Farms such as Boschendal, Vergelegen and Morgenster are always popular, or you can go for something different and enjoy chocolate and wine tastings at Blaauwklippen, or cheese and wine tastings at Fairview farm. There is a nice optional walk through the vineyards that will take you approximately 2 hours - with nice views onto the winelands.
Alternatively, if wine tasting isn’t for you, this morning after breakfast, meet your tour guide and proceed on a trip to Robben Island. Boats depart (weather dependent) from the Nelson Mandela Gateway at the V&A Waterfront and head to one of the most famous prisons in the world. This is where South Africa’s father of the nation spent 18 years, the legend of a man, Nelson Mandela. Guests will disembark at Murray’s Harbour on the east coast of the island and take a short walk to buses that will transport them to all of the historically significant sites. The tour guides inside the prison today are former political prisoners and their knowledge of this island is unparalleled and adds a unique cultural layer to this experience. This tour culminates with a viewing of Nelson Mandela’s cell. Return back to V & A Waterfront and have the rest of the day at leisure. (B)
6
Day 6: Cape Town – Zimbabwe (Victoria Falls)

This isn’t your ordinary swim in an infinity pool, but a daring dip on the very edge of the Victoria Falls. Brave swimmers will get to experience the ultimate thrill of peering over the brim of the largest curtain of falling water. In the late afternoon, both groups rendezvous and are together again to enjoy an unforgettable sunset cruise on the Zambezi River before the farewell dinner in the famous Boma. (B,D)
