There’s no better city to ring in the new year than the classic, colorful, vibrant, music and art centered capital of Cuba – HAVANA! We’ll be on a legal “people-to-people” tour with our private local guide, complying with all the new requirements for Americans to travel to Cuba.

December 30 (lunch included)
⦁ Our guide will greet us at Havana’s Jose Marti International Airport
⦁ Visit to Revolution Square, the epicenter of political and governmental buildings of the Cuban government, and it is the site where millions listened to speeches given by Fidel Castro.
⦁ Visit to Jose Fuster’s house in the eclectic Jaimanitas neighborhood of Havana and learn about his unique artwork and vision for his all mosaic community
⦁ Visit to a successful workshop rebuilding American classic cars and have an opportunity to tour the facility before enjoying a leisurely tour of Havana in a beautifully remodeled car
⦁ Check into accommodations at a private bed and breakfasts
December 31 (Breakfast and lunch included)
⦁ Walking tour of Old Havana with local expert guide, with stops specified to the interests of group-artists workshops and galleries, thriving private enterprises, or architecture-to name a few options.
⦁ Lunch at a charming private paladar (restaurant) in Old Havana
⦁ Enjoy a rum and cigar tasting, learning how the flavors “marry” together. Learn from a rum sommelier about how the age of the rum will change the flavors and smells of the rum.
⦁ Free time in the afternoon to either wander in Old Havana or explore the modern Havana area
⦁ Special New Year’s Eve Party in Havana with live music!
January 1 (Breakfast and lunch included)
⦁ Participate in a Cuban cooking class at a local paladar. Walk to a nearby organoponico to interact with local farmers and tour their organic farm. Back at the restaurant learn how to cook Cuban specialties such as el ajiaco and ropa vieja
⦁ After lunch, head to Finca Vigia, Ernest Hemingway’s home when he lived in Cuba. Tour the house with a local expert
⦁ Head to Cojimar, a picturesque fishing village that was Hemingway’s inspiration for the Old Man and the Sea
⦁ In the afternoon enjoy time at the beautiful beaches in Eastern Havana
⦁ Enjoy a visit to the historic Hotel Nacional learning about the history of this fascinating hotel, from American Mafia, to heads of State and International Celebrities
January 2 (Breakfast included)
⦁ After breakfast explore more of Havana and/or depart for flights back to the USA
