Hike Utah’s “Mighty Five” this summer

Join us for a 7 day adventure through Arches, Bryce Canyon, CanyonLands, Capitol Reef, and Zion National Parks. These magnificent parks are known as the Utah’s Mighty 5. Each park will enable you to see unique geological formations all within the region of Southern Utah. It will be a week that is visually mind-blowing and physically rewarding!

Daily Breakdown:

  • Day 1: Las Vegas to Zion National Park
  • Day 2: Zion National Park to Bryce Canyon National Park
  • Day 3: Bryce Canyon to Capitol Reef National Park
  • Day 4: Capitol Reef to CanyonLands National Park
  • Day 5: CanyonLands National Park to Arches National Park
  • Day 6: Arches National Park to Salt Lake City
  • Day 7: Salt Lake City

Day 1 (July 24): Las Vegas to Zion National Park to Cedar City, UT

We’ll arrive Las Vegas on the first early morning flight and drive right to Zion National Park. (3 hours). Explore main canyon of Zion National Park with amazing hiking. Zion is Utah’s most popular national park and offers a mix of just about everything you’ll find in the other four—arches, sandstone cliffs, canyons, sweeping scenery, and some of the best red-rock sunsets you’ll experience.  Lodging for the night near Zion National Park.

Day 2 (July 25): Zion National Park to Bryce Canyon National Park

After a morning hike in Zion, departure to Bryce Canyon (2 hours). With the opportunity to enjoy  hiking throughout the park, you have plenty of time to explore this surreal land of unique Hoodoos, arches, spires, and Bristlecone Pines. Lodging for the night near Bryce Canyon National Park.

Day 3 (July 26): Bryce Canyon to Capitol Reef National Park

After a morning hike in Bryce, departure to Capital Reef National Park (3 hours).  What makes Capitol Reef unique among the Mighty Five is its prehistoric and early-settler history that can still be felt and experienced inside the park.  We’ll hike around to our heart’s content in this treasure of a park. Lodging for the night near Capital Reef National Park.

Day 4 (July 27): Capitol Reef to Canyonlands National Park

After a morning hike in Capital Reef, we’ll depart to Canyonlands National Park (2.5 hours) and see why Mesa Arch is one of the most photographed arches in all of the Western US.  Also, views of Grand Viewpoint, Green River Overlook, an Ancestral Pueblo granary, and others make it a full afternoon and evening. Afterwards, an enjoyable time in the lively town of Moab, UT and check-in to our accommodations nearby, located between Canyonlands and Arches Parks.

Day 5 (July 28): CanyonLands to Arches National Park In the morning we’ll have a short drive to nearby Arches National Park  where we’ll explore this timeless landscape of 2,000 sandstone arches including Windows Section, Park Avenue, Balanced Rock, Delicate Arch and many others that will avail themselves to us. Accommodations for the night near Moab, UT.

Day 6  (July 29): Arches National Park to Salt Lake City

This morning we depart Arches National Park after some hiking and drive to Salt Lake City (4 hours). Depending upon arrival time, In the city, we’ll visit sites such as Temple Square, the State Capitol Building and Old Deseret Village. Our Lodging for the night is in the heart of Salt Lake City.

Day 7 (July 30): Salt Lake City 

Today, depending on flight times, we’ll explore more of Salt Lake City and then transfer over to Salt Lake City airport for our flights back home after an incredible adventure in Utah’s Mighty 5 !
